SriLanka is rich from exquisite beautiful waterfalls. SriLanka blessed with over one hundred waterfalls. It’s including various shapes and heights. I introduce to you some of marvelous waterfalls in SriLanka.
Bambarakanda Waterfall
Bambarakanda waterfall is highest waterfall of Sri Lanka. Its height 263m (865 feet). Bambarakanda waterfall is located to Kalupahana Junction (160Km from Colombo - Badulla road) is closest main road to Falls. Kalupahana is at Between Belihul Oya and Haputale. Kalupahana is 22 km from Balangoda or 32 km from Wellawaya. Bambarakanda Holiday Resort which is located overlooking the Bambarakanda Waterfall is one and only holiday resort at closed to waterfalls about 10Km.
Dunhinda Falls
Dunhida Fall is biggest waterfall of Sri Lanka. It 210 feet of height. Dinhida Fall is locates Soranathota place of Badulla Sri Lanka. It is at Badulla - Mahiyangana road and there are about 10km from Badulla town. The falls is 1km faraway from Badulla – Mahiyangana main road. Walking path is available for access the falls.
Ravana Ella
Ravana Ella is one of most beautiful waterfall in SriLanka. It 30 feet of height. Ravana waterfalls is at between Ella and Wallawaya. There are 5km to Ravana waterfalls from Ella town. Ravana falls is not a single one. Number of Ravana falls available in closed area. Ravana cave temple, Dova Teple and Ravana fallls are related with legend story.
Saint Claire Waterfall
Saint Claire is the widest waterfall in SriLanka. It is composed of two waterfalls-"Maha Ella" and "Kuda Ella". "Maha Ella" is 80m high and falls in three cascades down to Kothmale fall. "Kuda Ella" is 60m high and flows to the Kothmale fall too. The fall can be seen clearly from A-7 road, 3 km off Thalawakalle.
